76, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2010 at The Miriam Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ashton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian V. (Kay) Keefe.
Virginia is survived by her beloved children, Karen A. Coia of North Providence, Raymond C. Coia Esq. and his wife Robin of Cranston, Dr. David J. Coia and his wife Bethany of Greenville and Jacqueline M. Coughlin and her husband James of North Providence; Her grandchildren, Raymond Jr. and Niccolo Coia; Michael, Rachel, and Sarah Coia; Christopher and Corey Coughlin; two brothers, Joseph A. Keefe of Natick, MA, and Robert A. Keefe of Blackstone, MA; and her two grand-dogs Fergie and Bentley. She was the mother of the late Kevin M. Coia.
Virginia had been employed as a property manager by North Dartmouth Properties at Mineral Spring Gardens before retiring in 2006.
Virginia, who was extremely proud of her Irish heritage, was an avid reader, enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her loving grandchildren; shopping with her sister-in-law Lucille; playing cards and also cherished the company of her friends "the Bobs".
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 a.m from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front St., Lincoln at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886-2233.
